The First Dormitory (Kainan Student Union Building) commenced construction on February 18, 2002, after obtaining the construction permit, and it was completed and put into use on August 30, 2002.

The building consists of seven above-ground floors and one underground floor, with a total floor area of 10,576.26 square meters.

It provides a total of 676 beds and is designed with single rooms, offering a comfortable and elegant living environment for resident students.
